Teachers
We are hiring a PreK ESE teacher for our Lakeland school. Achievement Academy is a public charter school and teacher certification is required.
Bachelor’s degree or higher is required and you must either hold a valid Florida Certificate for full-time teaching or a valid Florida Statement of Status of Eligibility (SOE) which deems you eligible to hold a Florida Certificate for full-time teaching. This position requires certification in PreK-Primary or Preschool Education (Birth-Age 4).
A CDA is not a replacement for this certification-teachers must have or be eligible for DOE state certification.
Achievement Academy follows Polk County School District’s student calendar and is competitive with the salary scale for teachers. Beginning teachers start at $47,500 and increases with experience. Hours for teachers is from 8am to 3:30pm. Experience with young children a must; experience with special needs is preferred. Classroom has 11 special needs PreK students and 2 full-time paraprofessionals for assistance. Teaching responsibilities include lesson planning, student assessment, goal development, data collection, progress reporting, IEP development and implementation, etc.
